Altruism is an illusion. No one truly acts selflessly – every good deed either brings a good feeling, social recognition, or something in return, be it material or emotional. Even those who help without expectation do so because it aligns with their own values and gives them a clear conscience. In the end, it's always about one's own benefit – whether directly or indirectly. Selflessness is just a clever mask for well-disguised egoism.

This doesn't apply to Digit. She's just better than us bro

And there's nothing wrong with it. The impact you have on the world is separate from your motivation. If you have a positive impact it doesn't matter if you did it for yourself PR not, same as a negative impact. The only thing that's affected is yourself; one should be honest with themselves about it, you're not a worse person if you do something nice for others for self serving reasons than if you do it selflessly.

Absolutely. I can't understand the belief in nonexistent selflessness.
