There was consideration in my family for switching from the backdoor that is Signal, to the absolutely P2P SimpleX (of which I've had for a while).

I used Signal for a bit of time, but then I found that there was a backdoor through a report of some sort, of which I stumbled upon by complete accident. Signal is absolutely proprietary now, and cannot be trusted. It had been ever since it started.
