there aren't many places i could migrate to other than California that would actually be an improvement over Norway

younger software programmer me had some dreams there and i got fairly close to finding job with Apple, but immigration papers (no college degree) prevented it.

might've been for the best. the career derailed and i discovered that i had ADHD. potentially very dangerous to go through as an immigrant on a worker visa with limited rights.
