I've been learning japanese for a whole month now and I plan to continue doing so until it's on par with my spanish skills. This means a level where I can understand most things and can continue to improve by just immersing if I decide to do so.

Right now I..

- can read hiragana

- can read katakana

- learned the meaning of 589 of the ~2100 jōyō kanji. At my current pace I should finish my Anki deck by Sep 4

- learned 779 words of my 6k Anki deck which I should finish by March 3

My noobie gains are still very noticeable. The new words I learned in the morning often show up later during my immersion session.

It's been very enjoyable so far.
