Reposting is more just boosting a note to you're followers and global for visibility, only way I know of getting "given" money here is someone sending it via lightning, for something posted enjoyed or valued.
But sometimes you get to see people you weren't following before repost you're note and then give them a follow.

Nope. zaps go to the attached wallet of the author of the post, not the person reposting. I always found that interesting in #zapathon when people would repost memes. Now you can include a note reference in your own note and post it that way, more like a quote-repost. Then you authored a note, so you would get the zaps (unless they still zapped the note embedded in your note).
