Just got around to watching the Strike announcement. I've read plenty of criticisms regarding choices of stablecoins and generally what's going on behind the scenes, but I think they—and Jack, in particular—deserve props for this. The vision is steady, the product continues to evolve, and he owns his mistakes and shortcomings. As other products and companies falter and fail, they're charging ahead fearlessly. Respect.

Dude, I’m not part of BTC Media. I didn’t host the video.

KYC that's it.
Ok. What are you building that’s better?
Building community of plebs who will not go into KYC trap, preach that they don't use apps who don't provide keys. Educate those who can't travel and provide overpriced tickets on conferences. Preach them to not trust every marketing tricks that they see on internet or mainstream media, they should verify. Teach them how to use peach, bisq etc. I think that it's not enough but i try.
I’ve been a longtime strike user and have never had any issues? I dca and move to cold storage whenever I want. I’ve seen some badmouthing on the bird app about Strike after the new announcement and just don’t get it. I went back and watched it again to see if I missed something, but still don’t see problem.
I agree with you, I think they are doing great things. Where’s the talk about stablecoins coming from?
Apparently they’re using Tether.
Like anything in this space, you get to choose what you lean into & where you invest your time & attention.
If something doesn't resonate with you or provides no value to you, just turn away. Focus your attention somewhere else. There's no shortage of amazing projects here.
If the project is of ill intent or created from a place of fear rather than love, it will fail. It doesn't require you to pull it down.
