I am very happy with the sonic result we achieved in this room, especially considering we are using only one AER acoustic amp for both inputs, so this is more like a budget/don't have a car-solution.

Yes, improvisation plays a big role in our music, I usually improvise a lot over the chord changes even while comping for my wife's voice, so there is there is a lot of freedom through the harmonies + of course a general idea, but no strict arrangement.
