Whatever car, I just thought if this old bastard will cost 200k CZK, we could buy some small city car without any problems for next two three years. They have nothing, anybody, it's a weak box of shitty interior for such money. And if other tired mum drives into me in an SUV, my kids might simply disappear. And to buy something fancier/bigger/stronger would mean just waiting for the problems again. Saab is the devil we know. But first, new transmission.

I wish it was cheap enough to fly me over and replace the transmission for you. Saab is a bit odd with some of their stuff, but the bones are not too hard to work on.
A good used transmission should be easy to find. Definitely take care of other things like the main seals in the area while everything is apart. (Rear main, output shaft seals, dipstick o-ring is often forgotten if it has one)
