Nostrfiles switched from .wav to .mp3 for its recordings. Give it a try over here:

https://nostrfiles.dev/recorder/

Mp3 audio files should be displayed also in the latest #Amethyst app:

https://nostrfiles.dev/recordings/prLVZ1CDcbsmqPLX2jQ9.mp3

Feel free to push recordings to the endpoint https://nostrfiles.dev/uploadaudio

Example with curl:

`curl -X POST -F file=@my_nostr_song.mp3 https://nostrfiles.dev/upload_audio`

Nice! Wen NIP-95 archive?

You could also create a NIP-94 event (signed by you) when returning the uploaded image/audio URL to a Nostr client.

Then you could easily track the use of their posts in the Nostr ecosystem: You would receive reports, notifications of use (quote), replies and likes to the image directly, and even direct zaps for hosting the content :)

Sounds like a great plan. 😎

I am planning to look closer into the different NIPs, right now I still need to learn some Nostr specific stuff and therefore I am implementing just some basics besides all of the hosting and API topics.

What do you nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z think about a audio recording feature for Amethyst which then sends mp3 files to my service?

For direct messages this would be a nice feature in the future to enhance chats: Maybe we can encrypt audio files in the future locally on the device similar to other direct messages and store them (temporary) in a file service?

It's coming as well. I just having been able to code all these different interfaces yet. But it's part of the NIP94,95 data.
