I watched it 15 years ago and I keep thinking about it very often. Truly like a nightmare.

Every time my over-privileged children complain about bit too much, I tell them to go watch this movie.

I imagine improvements have been limited and uneven. Poverty, corruption, and exploitation, are persistent and slow to change without major structural shifts.
