There is one story from history that truly resonates with me…

That is Plato’s allegory of the cave.

If you are not familiar, within the cave a group of prisoners are shown images that an unknown authority wants them to see.

The prisoners only see shadow representations of real objects cast onto a wall.

One prisoner escapes an sees the real world beyond the cave. He comes to know what true reality is like.

With this new knowledge he makes his way back to the cave to inform the prisoners left behind.

He is met with hostility and disbelief.

This allegory perfectly describes our world today.
