Congrats on the little! They do definitely complicate getaways/avoiding the noise. We try to just turn up their noise machines and do extra essential oils to encourage the deep sleeping.
I agree with you. Florida passed a law to prevent this outside 2 days a year. Yet had to give one of my dogs Valium cause she freaked out over the fireworks tonight outside of the designated dates allowed by residents. Unfortunately calling cops would just results in a wild goose chase. Just unfair to the poor girl but sheβs sleeping now.
Poor dog! Ours is thankfully unbothered by them but our in laws have dogs that get really affected so I understand the difficulty.
Iβm in the same boat. House sitting a few dogs for family in East L.A. About every 20 minutes a cannon goes off. Nothing like a startled jump while reading followed by dogs ripping through the house barking in panic.
