I’m not a tech guy, just someone with idea. Occurred to me NOSTR with its public/private key ID pair could serve as one’s online login for everything.
And that would include legacy social media like Twitter/Facebook etc.
So you post on NOSTR while logged in, decide where the message shows up on legacy SM.
Eventually everyone uses NOSTR — hopefully the pub/private keys are simplified into seed words or something — and the legacy SM are just middlemen forced to innovate or die.
Because once everyone is using the meta app (and I mean NOSTR not that the garbage company formerly known as Facebook) you need not select a legacy SM middleman at all — it’ll just show up peer to peer in their NOSTR feed.
So you build in the meta-functionality, get 5-10% of people using it, capture users from legacy SM, then bypass. Legacy SM probably dies but at a minimum is forced to offer value not surveillance.
