Absolutely killing! Man this makes me want to work on my single line stuff. Whats your approach?
My man! I transcribe a lot of solos I like. Horn players, pianists, guitarists. At some point I did various technique excercises, now I am mostly blowing through changes with the metronome on 4+ to get a better sense of groove trying different rhythms. My rhythm is incredibly weak!

Ok transcribing it is then... Did it alot with harmony and i can find my way different keycenters when comping etc, but my single line playing is *actually* reaally weak!
When you solo do you think about scales or chordtones?
I mean if you do a good mix of Classic rock soloing plus maybe some Louis Armstrong who has a great phrasing, maybe do some technique etudes, enclosures and it will definitely get better 💜
