A VISION FOR THE NEAR FUTURE OF NOSTR
Imagine:
- publishing nostr notes that are attached to physical places and contain 3D geometry
- viewing nostr geo notes in 3D space via an augmented reality overlay on your mobile phone
- transferring value instantly via lightning
We can digitally terraform our entire world, opt into the content layers we want to see, and build a decentralized metaverse rooted in reality that isn't bullshit like all other metaverse concepts.
This isn't far off in the future.
- I already built an augmented reality overlay: yondar.me (still needs nostr integration once geo spec is usable)
- Geohashes are now a tag type: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/commit/d82599bc7f894a175174014d3afc44e428ecb99d
- We need a standard for geo notes. Help us define the spec here: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/136
