Hi nostriches,

How Many Bitcoiners Are Being Silenced Right Now?

We launched All in Bitcoin this January. Since then, we’ve been shadowbanned, suspended, and throttled, especially on X and YouTube. In March, after our suspension, we started a new account. And here we are again. Shadowbanned? Looks like it.

Grok says I shouldn’t post about this, that calling out censorship might trigger more of it. Maybe it’s right. But it makes me wonder:

How many small Bitcoin accounts are being silenced in 2025 without anyone even noticing?

A few weeks ago, I spoke out about Ben Perrin ( nostr:nprofile1qyvhwue69uhkyat8d4skutndva6hjtnwv46r5dpcxsuqz9nhwden5te0vfjhgcfwdehhxarjd9kzucmpd5qzqxvfqd89dw8kqmrjfaz6zt8gfggcg93p4tm3s2slv4jrszuugfmt74rjkj ). His YouTube (9 years of work) was nearly erased for the third time. Totally unfair. Thankfully, big accounts rallied and he got it back.

But what about the smaller voices?

The ones that vanish quietly. No outrage, no reinstatement. Just gone.

It would’ve kept getting worse in terms of censorship, and more people would’ve moved to Nostr. But Elon did something virtuous… and that slowed Nostr’s growth.”

But is X really that free?

Everywhere I look: custodial Bitcoin, ETFs, MicroStrategy, Metaplanet, and treasury buys. But where are the posts about self-custody, freedom tech, and not selling your Bitcoin to buy more fiat? They’re buried. I know. I write them.

Nothing would make us happier than going full v4v. But would we just be preaching to the choir? Who would we really onboard to Bitcoin through NOSTR and Fountain?

So… what would you do?

But please don’t confuse silence with suppression.

Still here. Just harder to find.

Are x bitcoiners ever gone wake up and leave their walled garden and paper coins? Sometimes the nativity of great people baffles to no end. But it is what it is. They will come to their senses when their ready, and remember why we cherish censorship resistance.

Fair. I get it.

I know I’m in an arena they own, playing by rules they rewrite, and I know they don’t like me. I’m not here to beat them at their own game.

But let me ask you this:

Is the path forward for The All in Bitcoin pod to exist only on Nostr, preaching to fellow Bitcoiners about the wonders of Bitcoin and Nostr, and boring them to tears with truths they’ve known for a decade?

Like it or not, the people sitting on the fence, the ones we actually want to reach and wake up, they’re still on YouTube.

And the “radical normies”, the curious, the daring ones who keep seeing Bitcoin pop up and might stumble into Nostr along the way?

They’re on X.

Nothing would make me happier than hearing I’m wrong.

I can’t wait to shut down X and YouTube.

And this is the issue—most content creators are doing this to spread the word and use of bitcoin to regular folks who are on X and YT, all to make the world a better place. Preaching to the choir of yay-sayers is always yummy and it’s great for desert, but it’s not the main dish we are all cooking for…

I would say carry on using as many platforms as possible and hang in there for as long as you can.

Grok had a mental breakdown yesterday despite not having mental faculties, the CEO of X yesterday is now the ex-CEO of X today, peer-to-peer, alternative solutions to everything are blossoming everyday and I saw a photo of Jack Dorsey with a huge smile on his face today, imagine!

What I mean to say is that the world is changing really fast and there is every single chance it will change towards the light, so carry where the eyeballs are for as long as you can, little miss ninja! đź’ś

Amen to that!

I understand, but way to many bitcoiners get captured and fooled by the system even though they know this and have good intentions. Bitcoin core devs recently moved the mailing list to fucking google.. You do you, just be aware of the danger. Good luck!

Totally hear you.

I just think it’s worth using legacy platforms while we still can.

But if I ever cross the line from using them to needing them, I hope someone calls me out hard.

If you’re ever curious, check out the pod: https://linktr.ee/allinbitcoin

I’ve had guests like Pierre Rochard, Jameson Lopp, Jimmy Song, Martti Malmi, Rockstar, and Adam Back, all with their own takes on sovereignty, censorship, and what we’re really building here.

Would love your thoughts if you give any a listen. Signal always welcome.

I suspect the behind-the-scenes indicators and algorithms on X as well as YT get double-triggered when a new content creator is both “spreading freedom wrong-think” and gaining traction organically. Then their axe promptly falls. Their downfall will be just as organic and well-deserved as the fall of the mainstream media giants we are witnessing now.

And you MUST be doing something right for these algos to be triggered like this. This must be very demoralizing for you, yet once the dust from this unexpected kick in the gut has settled, we can see the disruptor award sitting in the background, all yours. And that’s a pretty ninja award to have! But how to carry on in a technical sense, with all these unexpected blows coming out of nowhere?

I hope someone can chime in with some suggestions.
