Are you in the HOA or in the process of buying a house in an HOA?

If the latter, don't ever buy into an HOA unless you are buying the house/unit for long term leaseing and build the HOA payment into the rent. Let the HOA police your tenant for you.

Never invite another layer of regulation, especially if you have to pay for it.
