Nah dude 😂. I tend to dca small amount into my self custodial lighting wallet and when it reached a sizable amount, I used atomic swap to convert it into on chain.
But my channels kept getting forced closed so many fuckin times and I lost way too many sats in that process. lol
why were they force closing?
i have lost sats on force close when my node ran out of storage but other than that it has been working perfectly for me for like 5 years

Lmao yeah that sucks. You can just DCA less often but with larger amounts into something like wallet of satoshi. Then swap to on chain cold storage.
