Seems more like the question is what experience do you prefer, one that’s sleek and polished but lacking in substance, or one that’s raw but down-to-earth?

It’s no one’s job here to sell you on dive bar culture if that’s not your thing. It’s not for everyone, and that’s completely fine. But your comment assumes that the place must be a total dump, which is strange considering you haven’t been there before.

Down to earth is an interesting phrase.

I understand it. I'm like why? I feel like it's fake. Intentionally poor quality to pretend like it's humble and real. Like poser shit. That's been my experience.
