210000 blocks with a reward of 50 BTC for the first epoch with

For the second epoch with

210000 blocks with a reward of 12.5 BTC for the second epoch with

210000 blocks with a reward of 6.25 BTC for the fourth epoch with

210000 blocks with a reward of 3.125 BTC and so on until epoch 32.

After each epoch the "i" is incremented, which leads to a higher divider for the initial block reward of 50. The increase of "i"over 2 practically halves the block reward every four years.

See? It is not that hard to understand.

That's the reason some hours ago the halvening took place and now the block reward is 3.125 BTC.
