Because both sides find it incredibly convenient.
White men like the thought that they are morally superior, or even slightly superhuman.
Everyone else likes the fact that they can do whatever they want, without facing criticism.
Hmmm... yes and no. It can be convenient in social and business settings, for sure. But the privileges gained are too often based on deceptive qualities; this is why I say no, as well. Expectations (not just moral ones) for a white American man can be overestimated.

I'd argue every man likes to think they are moral superiors.
I'm beginning to think this is partly due to women who, "just don't feel like it tonight, honey". Drain our balls a little more frequently and things might change lol.

I knew all of that, as I'm a black history buff, but it's a nice run down.
The whites is the only thing that matters. Hahaha its crazy to read laws and listen to historians explain why blacks have been slaves. Yes white people have been slaves but not more than blacks and brown. The whites all hail the whites. Hahaha
They funny thing is all these laws are still in play in U.S of A haha ๐
Well, there are lots of obsolete laws on the books. Some states have laws about retiring them, but most legislatures are too lazy, for that, so they just stay.
I love listening to Jordan Maxwell on topics like this because its all about how the words are used. Unfortunately Jordan isnt here with us anymore.
My grandfather is also deceased, but he was a sharecropper and he used to tell us the craziest stories. As a kid, I thought he was just making stuff up, but my dad's dug up all the historical records and DNA tests etc., and it's like LOL it's all fr, y'all. The Dirty South was wild.
Hard to imagine. Things have changed so much.
I do think it's weird how US black history skips straight from the Civil War to MLK Jr. Nothing happened, for over a century? ๐ค
