I am running out of storage. I don't what to do about this. Should I buy a physical drive or up my monthly fee for a cloud storage?

At home Nas solutions are getting pretty cheap and accessible now. Even a 2 bay Nas with a couple 4tb drives will do you just fine. Hmu if you want suggestions.
I am nomadic and don't have a permanent abode at this time... Would this suggestion make sense for me? Should have included this lil detail in.
Even a portable ssd comes in large capacity now. You just want to keep in mind that there's no redundancy.
So if the drive fails or is damaged. The data could be lost.
There are cloud solutions that could work. Just need to research which ones are secure for your opsec.
You will be paying increasing amount for Cloud storage for the rest of your life.
Delete aggressively and only leave most important stuff on cloud.
Being a nomad.. Get a few portable ssd... They come in 4 tb nowadays. Ideally copy to two ssd.. Leave one at home with family.
Sadly you have to do both so you have a backup.
Always always go physical. It's yours for starters & cheaper then any cloud storage plan on a monthly basis & even better then those that offer lifetime deals.
You could buy 22TB External Harddrive for about $350.
Thank you.
Which one would that be. Though I need something light for my nomadic lifestyle.
Though I guess a heaviest one could be a second storage device to leave in safe location.
