The Cyprus haircut (2013) was one of the main reason I started buying bitcoin, though I didn’t find Bitcoin until far later (2016). It rid me of the notion that funds deposited at a bank are still the depositors. The idea of being the only person with access to your own digital money was profound and liberating.

I can only imagine that if enough people get a haircut in this current banking situation they will come to the same conclusion, seems what I would expect out of rational people anyway.
