I’ve been trying to work on my mic technique as much as possible (when I remember to), so it’s good to know that translates.

Also a great point about the setup for virtual recording versus in-person. My setup now is SUPER simple and quick—I don’t need to think about it at all—and also extremely portable. But for future interviews I might do in person I will definitely need a more upgraded setup.

Hey anytime. I'm glad that it's a helpful frame of mind. I'm relatively new to recording at 8 years in, but I've accumulated sooooo much CRAP that I let myself be sold on, and I wish I had done things differently. I can record most of the orchestras around here with a 2008 Yaris-full of gear, so that makes me happy.

Like everything, clarity of mind is key. Simple is good.
