How much RAM does your setup have? If it has 8 gigs do this:

Open your bitcoin node program on your Umbrel. Next to Connect on the right click the three dots. Click Advanced Settings. Change Cache Size (MB) from 450 to 7000 since you have a 8gb raspberry pi. Click Save And Restart Bitcoin Node. This will assign 7,000mb instead of 450mb RAM during syncing which will allow it to sync quicker. After the node fully syncs you can change it back to 450. It's ok to do this why your node is syncing, it won't restart the syncing process.

Hey, good tip. I have 16GB! Now set to 8000Mb thanks to you! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿซก

Sweet, it should speed up the process of syncing. If you have 16 gigs of RAM you could change dbcache up to 14,000 with no issues.

So far it uses very little, according to logs. Will monitor and see how it goes! Thanks! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿซก

Sounds good, it takes awhile for it to ramp up the RAM usage. Cheers!

Same for using start9?

Yes, but I would caution against running your node on a shitty hardware with no UPS. You MUST have mirrored drives with sufficient capacity and of a very high quality. Many lost millions of sats by going cheap on LN hardware

How?
