Feedback on zapstr so far:

1. List UI needs to be bigger, all the icons are small

2. Logo feels out of place with the rest of design.

3. Overflow scroll bars need to be styled

4. Will we have genre-related chat instead of track as a topic?

5. Player looks too tall. May need to shrink the spacing b/w title, progress bar and time bar (and reduce font size somewhere)

That's all for now.

Request for contact

I am following the development over at stemstr who aims to become a GitHub for music making. I help them a little with silly ideas and would love to chat with the dev working on zapstr on a few aspect of music and podcast distribution in Nostr . Who can I contact?

Can talk to me or #[3]

Thanks dude! Will contact tomorrow… I just noticed it’s almost 2am here GN✨

Ok

where does the track go?

Won’t be able to sleep if I don’t drop this out of my head.

#[3] #[2] I am not part of the dev team at stemstr was invited to contribute with ideas in their discussion on GitHub, nothing more.

I see that you have three elements that make me really curious, audio upload, paywall and splits.

Audio upload: how is this handled for now? How would you like to handle it in the future? (Where does the media go, how is it referenced into Nostr, what metadata can travel with?)

Paywall: same questions, now and future? How much is Nostr, how much is legacy web?

Splits: again same questions. How much of it is at protocol level?

Most importantly is there a group of devs trying to achieve consensus on how music (and other media) could be packaged on Nostr in a standardized way with built in pay wall and splits options to sort of create an automated royalty system?

Conditions for distribution would be baked in the delivery format and become readable to multiple clients/services.

Lol the logo is winamp's

All the more reasons to ditch it. But not high priority

Actually made me laugh and triggered my nostalgia 🥲
