What about just old-school Bluetooth, only on while playing music? I have no Echo/Google/Cortana/Siri divices. Just dumb shit, from like 2014.

Dumb stuff not always connected to the internet is the way to go. I finally switched over to a old school mp3 player for music and podcasts

Old mp3 players are neato. I also have an old speaker from 2016 that has a micro SD card reader in it, and it's also USB powered
