Thank you for this perspective! I think this is something I'd have to wrap my mind around. I'm taking baby steps in reclaiming my faith. But the point of doubt is an acknowledgement that you don't have all the answers, do you can be open to different perspectives. Thank you for sharing.
Good post.
You do mention that the Bible is full of contradictions. I disagree with that. There are zero contradictions, but there are numerous things that look like contradictions at firs. Once you know the whole Bible, you will realize it is more about nuance than contradictions. For example, one writer will be writing about one extreme error and another about another error to the opposite extreme. They don't contradict, they help believers to walk the fine line that is optimal. Another example is one passage being high level, while the "contradictory" passage being lower level or having a different focus. The Bible never contradicts itself, it is just difficult for us to fully understand our infinite God and His word.
By the way, the intersection between the Bible and science is one of my passions. If you are having trouble reconciling them, ask me a question, I can probably help you. You could also read my series on the subject. https://trustjesus.substack.com/p/literal-genesis
If you don't have time for all 6 of them, the last 3 are organized the best.

Yes, God knows when we have doubts. He appreciates honesty and seeking Him for answers instead of pretending to have it all together.
