i'll pass on blockstream shitcoin fiat casino assets thanks

blockstream are an enemy of bitcoin. they are adoption clowns who think that if they make bitcoin more fiat that more fiat people will use bitcoin. but really they just want to make money off fiat clowns who have been tricked into using a shitcoin.

plus, what i've seen of how their perverse incentives have infected the Go versions of btcd and the lightning node LND and the debased culture of its devs (one of which being the co-inventor of lightning) is sad, for me as a golang maxi.

idgaf about knots vs core except in as far as knots maintains users ability to participate fully in the bitcoin p2p network. i would rather people adopt a golang bitcoin node instead but btcd is an abomination of bugs and bullshit, even one time took down a whole swathe of the lightning network with their stupid code

What I like about this though is that they put all that shit on their side chain, not the Timechain. Idk about Go, I feel like it attracts poor taste but I could be wrong. I still like C++

yeah, they at least aren't polluting the blockchain so much.

i have no idea where this reputation of Go comes from. or why so many people think C++ or Rust are so great. they are bloated, slow compiling, hard to read, ugly languages. i compile my code on a 1gb memory VPS, the rust relay and strfry both require at least 16gb of memory, or more. i tamed it to use only like 8gb by forcing it to compile single threaded. 11 minutesfor the rust, 9 minutes for c++, and my relay compiles in 45 seconds.
