What is your motivation for watermarking memes? I'm having hard time understanding it.

Some npubs create their own memes. Others curate memes they found. I don’t want to be mistaken for the latter.

But can you tell what part of the meme is your original work? Can a humorous plot or twist be even claimed as a unique work? The artwork is usually not original. Is for fame, is it for ego?
This is not a hate, I'm just trying to understand. Every meme I ever made was anonymous, but to the other hand I'm very proud of my highest PoW note on Nostr so I'm definitely not ego-less...
