Exactly. Someday everyone will be using algos, and they will be following people with lots of replies. Then those of us with ReplyGuy in our replies will rise to the top!
But is that going to resolve other problem which RGy is causing and that is HASHTAGS and SEARCH pleagued with his spam. For one, hashtag #asknostr is becoming unusable because of RGy.
nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s implemented pretty aggressive rate limiting on the Damus relay which seems to stop that. nostr.wine is a paid relay, so spammers donβt use it. Not sure what nostr.band is doing to block the spam.
So, when you try to search stuff on nostr or check some hashtag, you don't get any RGy stuff?
I haven't seen any RG stuff since I reduced my relay list down to this. It's only been one day though. I think most Nostr clients will only display notes from relays you read from when you search for things.
It's like the dm meta data bot ππ€
