Most relays right now are just plain outbox/inbox relays with all kinds of content, so they’re not really suited for direct browsing. Only a few are actually curated by operators or have some special filtering. At the moment I just collect and show them manually on Jumble’s explore page.

Since there aren’t that many, a globe might not make much sense yet. But if we ever get to the point where there are hundreds or thousands of community relays, then exploring them on an interactive globe to find nearby communities could be a really fun experience.

Would be cool if there was a globe and you could see yourself on it with an action to create a regional relay. Then some sort of super simple relay creation flow with policies and management dashboard. Probably something one could charge for.

That’s really cool! I’m sure it’ll come soon. https://nostr1.com/ and https://relays.land/ already make it pretty easy to spin up a relay, but content management is still a bit rough.

When Jumble has reached a stage I’m satisfied with, if there still isn’t a good solution for relay creation and management, I’ll give it a try myself.

Need like a third party service that handles content filtering per relay policy. Make it easy for relay operator to not have to deal with sketchy content

Yeah, there’s still plenty we need to do.

Worthy of a grant
