If apple wants that, yes. It is their store.
seems like we could easily get other apps removed from their app store, or force other apps to build in recognition to remove invoice and qr content

If you can get on other IOS apps and post invoices and qr codes to each other, essentially "zapping" each other then Apple will have to enforce those apps too
They already selectively enforce their rules, that may not work. Why not use a system without gatekeepers? Maybe having to ask permission to use a decentralized permissionless communication system is a bad idea?
yeah, personally I wouldn't touch IOS, for some reason there is a large portion of the population that chooses to use a walled off platform. The concept of the zap and lightning invoices is speech. My point is preventing zapps on your platform will be tough as they will need to scan and classify all text on their platforms to effectively stop "zaps" on all of their app's
