I like RFK, too.

I’ve heard him speak a couple of times and I like what he has to say.

But me “liking” RFK does not preclude me from being critical of him.

On the contrary, the fact that my gut reaction is to like him tells me I need to be even more critical, to ensure I’m not letting my biases cloud my judgement.

Right now RFK is the candidate I like the most (but the bar is also extremely low 🫠).

I’d certainly take RFK over Biden or Trump every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

But if I immediately dropped my political panties for a politician just because he says things I agree with, I’d be no better than the partisan parrots waving red and blue flags.

There is no red.

There is no blue.

There is the State.

And there is you.

RFK endeavors to lead the State and thus, I will be critical of what he says and what he does. Again, this does not mean I am “against” him.

My vote is not easily won, and I will remain doubtful of any and all politicians.

To doubt is to think.

That said, I am hopeful; I think RFK has the potential to be a great leader.

If nothing else, I believe he helps shift the Overton window.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Would you still feel the same if he dropped an ordinal collection?

Would I still be doubtful and critical?

Yes.
