We have a butcher shop not too far from us. They have 2 live pigs out front. Cute af. Kids love petting them.

They have no idea what happens at the slaughterhouse behind the shop.

Not sure if I’ll ever tell them.

In some ways it’s an accurate example of what life entails.

What's a good age, in your view, to tear down that wall and expose reality?

Don’t think it matters

This is the gray area I ponder on. Should some life lessons come from experience? Should they be taught before living the experience?

The stuff that keeps you safe and healthy should definitely be taught. The more innocent things can be explored and discovered.

Agree. The innocent line moves around some depending on time, culture, and environment but safety/health is a good compass. 🤙
