LITERALLY ROCKS.
They’re nice rocks, they shine nicely, real pretty.
They only have the perceived value of “nice rocks” bc they are scarce in comparison to all the dull looking rocks. But image another planet or asteroid is littered with gold and the dull rocks were rare? :)
it’s true, other rocks are nice too, but, wait, it’s also metal, and can be so thin, thinner than any metal, it’s like magic, and so conductive, so malleable
