Target: 250 gigawatts by 2033.
Here is the annual electricity consumption of:
🇮🇳 India: 223 GW
🇩🇪 Germany: 57.7 GW
🇬🇧 United Kingdom: 35.3 GW
🇸🇬 Singapore: 6.5 GW
In other words, a SINGLE company would consume more than the entire country of India today, and almost as much as half of the United States.

That sounds insane, but Bitcoin's energy consumption also always increases over time and the positive for this is innovation in energy infrastructure and consumption.
I hope this also counts for big AI companies. Although I have seen that dates centers for AI get priority for water and energy usage before other companies in that area and households. They should innovate a lot more.
