Celebrities used to be authentic. Then they were faking it, but for the most part you could tell. They don’t even try to fake it any more.

I thought celebrities used to be focused only on their craft, but then they all started to need to have political opinions, as they were asked their abortion stand, and even more recently, they've needed to come out supporting the left or right.
I miss the days when actors were ambiguous creatures and I could just think they were whoever they acted like in the movies. Those there the days.
With a few exceptions, they don’t even seem like real people anymore.
