sort of, for reading and writing. Nothing beats immersion, it’s more like an addictive way to sharpen and complement your vocabulary

Interesting, I kinda want to learn a language, I might give it a try.

Ya helped me learn, and helped my wife retain her Portuguese 🇧🇷

I’m thinking about learning Swedish

Wow! How ambitious 🤩 If I may recommend a pro tip. Pick a language that you have access to the people who speak it. It’ll help you refine the language with real world application.

I.e. Spanish. So you frequent a Mexican restaurant and only order in Spanish. It’ll be the closest you can get to immersion without uprooting your family

If the language isn’t characters, yes. French for example I’ve learned a good amount (though I took courses in college previously). Japanese? Forget about it lol. You learn best when you live in an environment with native speakers

If you’re learning a major language or dialect then yea. I tried to use to it learn northern Vietnamese but it only had northern.
