I started this bottle of vanilla extract during Covid. I’ve refilled it a couple of times with some new vanilla beans and topped off the vodka (yes, it’s in a whiskey bottle). It’s still the best I’ve ever used.

Dried vanilla beans, vodka.
Do you cut the vanilla beans lengthwise, or just leave them whole?
I just throw them in whole and let the extraction process work naturally for like 6 months.
