Have you ever planted potatoes/ carrots from supermarket? I did it when i was a kid (it was ok I guess). I suspect they do some processing nowadays. How was your experience?

You can for sure, but it really depends on the variety.
Why not grow from seeds? There are many sources of good seeds available.
I have a very small space. I don't want to buy 5lb of seed potatoes 😄
Sweet potatoes yes. You have to buy the organic ones. The regular ones are sprayed with something that keeps them from sprouting during transport to the grocery store
