I know I'm a bit off, but I always assumed NYT/CNN/FOX etc was the mouthpiece of the propaganda machine. The incentives are too big to not be.

Why anyone is shocked by poor/suggestive/inconclusive reporting at this point it's beyond me. I liked the authors critique here, but I think she should drop the term "hypothetical"
