i am literally teaching my cat to understand a simple vocabulary of words that relate to places

there is scratch for the scratching post

sit for the comfy cat bed

seat for the couch

down for the floor

up for anything he can't see me point at

outside to get him to come outside

inside to do the reverse

gotta repeat them words, in the context, and he will remember and i will be able to eventually say those words and he will go to the things

it's quite comical, he is behaving like a bandit who has just opened up a cache of money right now, with these shellfish

he was not keen on it when it was warm but now it's moving to room temp he is munching out hard and occasionally looking backwards to see if any competitors are seeking to take his bowl of shellfish

the more he eats, the less he is alarmed, this is good

cat training is a lot of fun, i'm not gonna say i'm not enjoying figuring it out as much as he is enjoying my prescribed rewards

careful with that.

I don't know how cats' brains work, but really smart dogs can learn like 150 words.

That's why you should not spend the "slots" with things like different variations of their name. Or using different commands with the same meaning.

well, i think i've spent 9 slots so far, i bet kitties can understand at least 50
