I have preferred not to give my opinion on the subject because although at first I liked the idea of drivechains, it is also true that we have current solutions such as liquid-type sidechains or mercury-type statechains as well as new protocols such as RGB. The three cases mentioned above improve problems such as scalability or privacy, so I am somewhat skeptical about drivechains and also leave ARK on the shelf because it is not being implemented yet.

Maybe drivechains are not a good option when there are other options that do not modify the Bitcoin protocol or its incentives.

Do you consider this to be a danger to btc compared to block size conflict of 2015 or not at this scale of threat?

Maybe it doesn't affect decentralization as much as a block increase but it certainly gives more power to the miners as they are the ones who will have the ability to activate or not the drivechains and honestly the miners have shown that they are not good actors, or taproot oculist history says a lot about this issue.
