I believe it is for citizens to have some understanding and belief that the taxes they pay is what funds the government.

But in reality, government spends trillions in excess compared to tax revenues thus money printing to actually fund themselves. Please correct me if I’m wrong this isn’t a topic discussed a whole lot. #government
