I can check the majority of these boxes, but should I consider the totality of my online experiences a metaverse?

Maybe. Most of these categories are satisfied by different businesses/apps/clients... and sometimes via different devices.. but they're all online.

If I'm being honesr, the amount of digital goods and services I consume has increased mightily in the last decade.

I'm still not feeling fully immersed though.

i.e, I still have in-person contact with my truest friends. My passions are mostly physical hobbies (though sometimes my hobbies, like art and music, produce digital products).

I don't actually purchase many digital goods. I guess I have a few NFTs from my shitcoin days. I watch Netflix shows, so there's that.

Oooo. Video games. My kid plays a lot of those. He has friends in discord that meet up virtually and fuck shit up.

I do buy physical things from online stores, though.

I once paid to 'attend' an online concert during Covid. It wasn't that bad. I'd probably do it again for a bargain, but I've never gone to a virtual museum. I could see it though.

I guess as an initial assessment of my own virtual existence I'd say thr metaverse has crept-up on me more than I ever would have imagined 5-10 years ago.

Still, I think I view my online exoeriences as more of an augmentation to my physical life.
