Iran has no reason to trust the US. They got bombed while waiting to negotiate and it was a trap.

Why would they trust again?

IMO its all just theater for the masses (which would be us). All of it is telegraphed- the US bombs and the Iranian retaliation.

If the terms are good enough Iran will accept, if not they won't
