If Iām looking through a dystopian lens I could honestly see people wandering down a path like this without even knowing.
Sadly, I do think that thereās a % of the population who is barely sentient, they just live attached to their devices, at the will of the algo.

Damn oof , I had a dream of this happening a while ago , it was horrific , the only way out was to work on your core and will power and keep the hope alive and obv stay away from all of that .
I was sure it was some sort of prophecy , I had it 5 years ago and now its making more and more sense with the advancement , been focussing on not having attachement less ego , and having multiple firewalls when consuming any media or information , basically strengthening your Cogsec , and being present
Funny because a lot of people are going thru this. Iāve been working a ton on detatchment from material things and just literally focusing on being alive and in a moment.
Not investing mentally into things that canāt be controlled, or controlled in that moment. Just being.
My little cousin is hilarious because heās been going off about the AI antichrist for years, semi jokingly, heās definitely down the rabbit hole (which Iāve 100% been down) but you bet I sent him this and we had a talk about it š
Back then I wasnāt even sure if it was AI causing it , but it did feel like a singular entity was controlling it , the worst part is I saw even the highest IQ people , and the people who were the most prepared āintellectuallyā for this possibility , were also struggling with it and it was attacking them even more , the only people who ended up unharmed was the type who would just wake up eat do an honest manual job focus on their surroundings, no matter their IQ , the more people tried to solve the problem the worst it got , and funny enough the people who were deeply stuck in the fiat systems were struggling the most . Being heart centered and present and self sufficient was key . And also not having some sort of brain interface installed , it seemed like everyone willingly put brain interface in them that turned awry
I mean the IQ/Intelligence take makes sense. Realistically if youāre smart enough to see whatās happening, or to notice things and you genuinely care or can see a trend, the natural thing to do is invest yourself in it.
Manual labour take is a good one, lots of those people are great at just being present and focusing on their own worlds. Iāve generally been one of them my whole life, but seeing things online and on feeds that directly spoke to me gave me a sense that I couldnāt ignore what I was seeing, and needed to engage. That being said, I wonāt make that mistake again.
Low IQ people across the board at the moment are barely sentient though, living as one with the algorithm. Itās been like that for quite some time I think.
Is it AI? Is it just centralization of algorithms and force feeding people? Idk. Probably both
