Well, against my better judgement, and after a two-year absence, I reactivated my personal Instagram account. The main reason, as I informed my wife who thinks I am crazy for getting back on the cesspool that is Meta-led social media, was to spread Bitcoin signal to my friends and family. At the very least I want to be a Bitcoin resource for them as Bitcoin becomes more and more part of the public lexicon.

They have all heard about it and are maybe curious, but often just dismiss it as another scream in a sea of noise. "Bitcoin is for the tech savy, the revolutionary, the grifters, hackers...but not for me". They don't know any one who is a bitcoiner and Bitcoin is easily dismissed. I want them to know that they know a Bitcoiner.

So far I have orange pilled three of my friends in the short time I have been back on the ‘gram: two former co-workers and a buddy from college I have not seen in years. All from discussions generated by different bitcoin posts I have made. This gives me that good energy to see people realize that there is a way off this fiat death train.

These people are not ready for Nostr just yet, but they recognize that something is not quite right with the dollar just like all of us, and I thought it important to meet them where they are at.
