The Intel Management Engine is an embedded microcontroller (integrated on some Intel chipsets) running a lightweight microkernel operating system that provides a variety of features and services for Intel processor–based computer systems.

Security vulnerabilities have been found in the past, ranging from unauthorized Access and potential takeover. Not all vulnerabilities were patched by Intel.

The IME firmware is proprietary and closed-source.

IME has the potential to collect and transmit data.

And now comes the conspiracy part:

Big tech is already sharing data with the state.

At some point in a dystopian future it will turn completely against users.

Then you will only be free and save if you use a Foss os, software and librebooted or corebooted Systems.
